Slider FAQ - Why is the Slider made out of steel, rather than the lighter aluminum?

Q:	Why is the Slider made out of steel, rather than the lighter aluminum?
A:	Cost & final price was of utmost concern according to our consumer research, and an aluminum model would be nearly 2x the cost to produce. On average, a component made of aluminum is lighter than one made from steel; having said that, it typically requires substantially more material (bigger, & thicker) to match the strength of an equivalent piece made from steel.
